An extraordinary mens blog for the ordinary man
As though we didn’t already know it Summer 2012 is the summer of sport and with less then a month until the opening ceremony of the Olympic games in ole London town, everyone is gearing up, or should that be limbering up to what should be the biggest and best games so far.
One such retailer whose throwing themselves into the spirit of all things sporty is H&M, who have chosen the Olympic host city to premiere two new pop up stores in time for the great event. Launching in Covent Garden, on Friday 6th July and in Westfield Stratford City, literally a shot-put away from the East London Olympic Stadium, on Saturday 7th July, the stores will be open for a period of ten weeks and will stock a selection of Womens, Mens and Kids sportswear.
The Covent Garden pop up store draws inspiration from an old school sports hall feel. Using reclaimed furniture and retro gym equipment will be installed to create a unique shopping experience, taking us back to days of gym class and changing rooms.
Whereas the Westfield Stratford concept store is contemporary; with clean lines the directional design elements setting it apart. Exclusively for both stores and in celebration of all things athletic, H&M Sport will be launching a limited edition collection in patriotic colours, which promises to be both fun and functional and combine essential workout pieces with bold colours for guaranteed track side stand out. Each garment is specifically designed using breathable quick dry fabric to ensure feeling good is as important as looking good. The range includes a wide selection of sporting apparel from gym kit classics to yoga essentials
