CLOTHES MAKE THE MAN

An extraordinary mens blog for the ordinary man

Aha me harties, don’t wanna be smelling like a salty sea dog ! – The Bluebeards Revenge

Firstly, sorry about the headline, I got a bit carried away and don’t know what came over me, please accept my apologies.

Now then, have to say probably not the best name for a mens Fragrance, I ever heard, The Bluebeards Revenge, but give it a chance. The idea behind the BlueBeards revenge range is, essentially, countless men suffer from tough stubble that seems to defy the attentions of every shaving product known to man and blunts the edge of even the keenest of razors, this is otherwise known as “Blue Beard”.

Now this condition IS a pain in the preverbal, resulting in shaving rash, burn and those uncomfortable lumps & bumps. The range is designed by a real life Blue Beard who was bored with being mistaken for Desperate Dan and decided to do something about it. The range uses totally recyclable packaging, is paraben free and contains Decelerine which contains a mixture of ingredients that delay hair growth, reducing the frequency of shaving and helps the recovery of the skin after shaving.

Their new fragrance has a refreshing scent which is formulated with  Sicilian bergamot and Ligurian basil. The centre of it features a rich blend of jasmine, black tea and watermint, while the rich base notes include Madagascar vanilla highlighted by sandalwood and patchouli along with oakmoss and musk.

The Brand has teamed up with the Charity Orchid, the UK charity focused exclusively on male-specific cancers and within the packaging features potentially lifesaving advice for men as it encourages guys to be aware of the early signs and symptoms of the three male specific cancers – testicular, penile and prostate – allowing them to seek advice from a GP as early as possible.
