Well, this season sees Silas join forces with the iconic workwear brand, Dickies from the US of A, to produce workpants, that  hold a strong sense of authenticity, keeping in tune with the brands genuine history. Dickies hold strong the principle of great value, hardwearing, functional workwear. With over 80 years’ experience in workwear manufacturing, swaths of workers around the globe have found Dickies to be apparel that will continue to provide excellent comfort and protection as the working day takes its toll.

From oil fields around the world to major construction sites Dickies workwear has been tested to the limit, gaining a reputation for quality and performance.The company has its roots in the small town of Bryan, Texas, where C. N. Williamson and E. E. “Colonel” Dickie began their careers in the “vehicle and harness” business. In 1918 they made what turned out to be a momentous decision when, with a few friends, they established the U.S. Overall Company. Four years later the company was renamed the Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company. From these modest beginnings Dickies has transformed itself into the largest workwear manufacturer in the world.

Over the years Dickies have been the clothing of choice  for everyone from Justin Timberlake,  TLC, Limp Bizkit  and Madonna. Plus its appeared in movies including The Dukes of Hazzard, The Break-up and even From Here to Eternity starring Frank Sinatra.

Now with Silas, we have a brand who have found comfort and cult status immersing itself in sub cultures that enabled their ability to swerve the mainstream and masses via attachment to skateboarding and avant-garde music genres.

Since leaving the shores of the UK and relocating to Japan, the manufacturing and depth of the brand has become more extensive and an element of the ‘post skateboarding’ look and feel has been replaced with more maturity in its overall theme.
