An extraordinary mens blog for the ordinary man
Noel Gallagher, Tom Cruise, David Beckham, Dustin Hoffman, Steven Fry, Robert DeNiro and Hugh Grant, no they’re not all members of the Man city fan club, well maybe they all are, but not to my knowledge anyway. But they are all fans of the Savile Row tailoring master Richard James and now you to can add your name to the long list of luminaries who wear his suits with pride. Thanks to those collab-tastic folks over at Mark & Spencer these two great minds have come together to produce one of the best collaborations since, well Mr Marks met Mr Spencer to be honest.
Available as of today in 20 stores across the UK and online, the exclusively designed ‘Savile Row Inspired’ range consists of 24 pieces. The suits take on a sharply tailored block with richly coloured internal linings, fine fabrics and an attention to detail that you would expect from the very best of Savile Row, with all cloths manufactured in the UK. Ties and shirts compliment each other, with colour being key to creating that signature style of Mr James. Shirts come complete with mother-of-pearl buttons and both single and double cuff options.
Richard, recently said of the collaboration,
“M&S is a great British brand with a longstanding reputation for superb quality. Taking inspiration from the very best of British tailoring, the aim of the collection was to provide men with access to timeless yet contemporary style”.
The collection is due to be available to customers in China, The Czech Republic, France and Dubai amongst others and the range is promised to be expanded for Autumn, to supports the plans of new Chief Marc Bolland who wants to improve the style credentials of M&S clothing and to give its brands more distinctive values which resonate at an international level, watch this space folks.
